Sandusky Girls Golf Take 15th at State Finals in Battle Creek
The Sandusky Lady Wolves have plenty to celebrate in their inaugural year. The Lady Wolves dominated the local competition this season and even took their talents to the State Finals after a stellar performance at Regionals the previous week. Helena Long led the way for Sandusky, drawing on her past experience golfing on the Varsity Boys team. Helena Long shot a combined 207 to lead her team to fifteenth overall in Division 4 the state of Michigan. Ruby Trepkowski shot a combined 213 over the two days of the state finals. Sophia Umbreit finished with a 226 combined. Eva Long shot a combined 252 and Makenzie Kreger shot a 243 to bring Sandusky’s team total over the two-day affair to 891. Helena Long finished 45th overall with her score, Ruby Trepkowski 51st, Sophia Umbreit 75th, Makenzie Kreger 91st and Eva Long 99th.
