Sandusky Softball Split with Ubly

The Sandusky Lady Wolves traveled to Ubly Monday afternoon for a double header with the Ubly Lady Bearcats. The Bearcats took game one 14-9. Adalee Kaufman and Mia Levitt split the mound in game one, striking out a combined eight batters.
Kalli Bender hit a home run and a double. Mia Levitt and Annie Ross both had two hits. Ruby Trepkowski had three hits in game one. Alyssa Kitchen and Alexis Gough each had a hit.
Mia Levitt pitched the entirety of game two, striking out seven and earning the win for the Wolves. Sandusky took the second game 7-6 to split the double header. Adalee Kaufman and Kalli Bender each had a single and a double in the contest. Morgan Taege had two singles and Alexis Gough had a single. “Game one we had a couple of defensive miss queues.” stated Sandusky Varsity Softball Head Coach Danny Franzel. “Game two our ladies buckled down with some really good pitching from Levitt, we were able to get the split.”
The Lady Wolves move to 8-2 in league play after the split with the bearcats and have one more double header against Marlette at home on Monday, May 22nd to close out the season.
