Family members of the girls and boys basketball program in Sandusky are invited to the third annual Sandusky Basketball Team Night at the Mark S Hund – Al DeMott court Friday night. Redskins Athletic Director and varsity girls hoops coach Al DeMott says there will be plenty of activity taking place.
“We want to encourage everyone to come out and meet the teams and coaches and have a chance to get to know each other. We’ll have lots to do with some prizes being given away too.”
The 6 p.m. event, in addition to meeting the players, will feature a raffle drawing for Detroit Pistons tickets, Midland Loon baseball tickets, gift cards and cash drawings. The program will get underway at 6 p.m.
The girls basketball team is working hard to replace graduated seniors, including Keegan Nelson who has moved on to play hoops at SC4.
The boys team is hoping to repeat last year’s success. Pictured above is Connor Green, the Redskin hero who hit a buzzer-beating shot to give Sandusky a Class C district title.
