Sanilac County officials shot down the first attempt at a recall petition for Sandusky School Board members. The recall petition was shot down 2-1 due to unclear language.
The Huron County Sheriff’s Department is still seeking information in the case of Ricky H. Bailey, a 59 year old father of two, murdered at his residence in Verona Township. The reward for tips leading to an arrest has now reach a total of $9100. The Sheriff’s Department ask that you please respect the family’s privacy and provide any tips to the Huron County Sheriff’s Department during regular business hours at: 989-269-6500 or 989-269-6421 after hours. The Sanilac ISD Board of Education approved a field trip request for students in the Biotechnology program at the Career Center. Ten students will attend the Green & White Hog Show at MSU on January 27th and 28th. The cost for the field trip will be $30 per student with the remainder of the cost covered by the FFA and CTSO Advisor Budget.
The Sanilac ISD Board of Education approved the lowest bid for the slated roof replacements on the Sanilac County Career Center Building, with Zimmer Roofing coming in at $258,364.
