Deckerville wins by Forty

The Deckerville Eagles traveled to Kinde to take on the North Huron Warriors last Friday, and what was a close game in the first quarter (17-11 Deckerville), changed dramatically in the second quarter, when the Deckerville offense exploded, scoring 26 points, holding the Warriors to 4, for a 43-15 halftime lead. Kinde outscored Deckerville in the third quarter, 13-11, with Deckerville controlling the fourth, scoring 21 points to the Warriors 7, for a 75-35 victory.
Deckerville had three players in double figures, Hunter Garza 16, and Logan Martin and Connor Palmer with 13 apiece. In the first quarter, Hunter Garza had two 3-pointers and another basket for 8 points, Logan Martin had a 3-pointer and another basket for 5, and Derek Osborne added 4 points. Connor Palmer led the Eagles in the second quarter, scoring 11 points, Logan Martin two 3-pointers, Brady Sharbowski 6 and Kris Kosal a three-pointer. In the third, Derek Osborne, David Shanks, Logan Martin, Brady Sharbowksi and Kris Kosal each had 2 points, and Hunter Garza, 1. In the fourth, Hunter Garza scored 7 points, David Shanks 6, Mike Pink 4, and Derek Osborne and Connor Palmer, 2 apiece.
