CHILLY WILLY: Work is progressing, in spite of the winter weather, on both the new Greenstone Farm Credit Services building and sidewalk project on Sandusky’s west end. The Greenstone building is nearly framed up and concrete drains are being installed along M-46 near Family Farm & Home. It is disappointing that the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) specified segmented concrete pipe for this project, when Jensen Bridge, one of the best corrugated metal pipe manufacturers around, is less than a mile from the worksite. At least MDOT is putting up the money for this $800k portion of the project. Your tax dollars at “work”.
