Red Raiders Handle USA

The Marlette Red Raiders hosted the Unionville Sebewaing Area (USA) Patriots last Friday. USA took the advantage in the first quarter, jumping out to a six nothing lead. “USA came out and really dominated the line of scrimmage on the first drive of the game. I was not very happy with our guys.” Stated Head Coach Denny Lester. Marlette responded in the second quarter with two touchdowns of their own to bring the score to 14-6. USA added another touchdown in the third but could not keep pace with the Red Raider onslaught as Marlette rallied for 24 points in the third quarter to bring the final score to 38-12. The Red Raiders travel to Ubly this Friday to face a difficult Bearcat squad. “We will have our hands full.” Stated Coach Lester on the upcoming battle.
