Wrestlers Compete at Bad Axe Brady Inv.

Sanilac County Wrestlers traveled to Bad Axe last Saturday to compete in the Wayne Brady Classic.
Marlette’s Bennett brothers both captured first place medals in their weight classes. Manus Bennett (150lbs) and Turlough (132lbs) both pinned their way to the podium. Marlette’s 165 pounder Westly Chapin 215 pounder John Machia each battled through the consolation brackets to bring home the bronze. Sandusky’s 215 pounder Kory Lambson also came through the consolation bracket for a third place finish. Brown City logged a first place finish with Wynn Blake at 120 lbs. BC collected four silver seconds with Hunter Ostrander (157lbs), David Eagle (165lbs), Jack Gingell (190lbs), and Justin Kleinsmith (285). The Green Devils also recorded five 4th place finishes with Brandon Preston (126lbs), Connor McKelvey (138lbs), Tanner Gingell (150lbs), Dakota Villanueva (157lbs), and Conagher Briggs (175lbs).
