Herbert Junior Gerstenberger

Herbert Junior Gerstenberger, age 81, of Sandusky, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 at his home in Sandusky, Michigan.
He was born February 24, 1934 in Sandusky, Michigan the son of the late Wesley and Macey (Trainor) Gerstenberger.
He was a lifelong area resident and 1953 graduate of Sandusky High School.
Herbert married Thelma Jones on June 30, 1956 Marlette, MI. She died on February 27, 1998.
He worked as a Milk Hauler for 45 years, was a Cabinet Maker at Marlette Homes for 27 years, and enjoyed collecting antique toys.
Herbert loved his Ford Mustangs and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by Rodney & Missy Gerstenberger (son) of Sandusky, John & Lynn Gerstenberger (son) of Sandusky, Edward Gerstenberger & Deb Chard (son) of Kingston, Roger & Sharon Gerstenberger (son) of Sandusky, Becky & Julian Campbell (daughter) of Georgia, Harvey & Carol Gerstenberger (brother) of Sandusky, Vickie & Randy Rich of Marlette. as well as 13 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a sister Ruth Ann Burks.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky. Rev. Douglas Richardson officiated.
Memorial suggestion to the United Hospice of Marlette or any organization of the donors personal choice.
Burial was at the Moore Township Cemetery in Snover.
