Margaret E. Strickler

SANDUSKY – Margaret E. Strickler, age 96, of Sandusky, passed away April 4, 2015.
She was born November 7, 1918 in Sandusky, Michigan to the late Herbert and Mina (Felker) Stone.
Margaret married A.D. Strickler on March 30, 1938 in Elmer, Michigan. He passed away August 6, 2010. Margaret was a charter member of the Countryside Free Methodist Church, Sandusky.
She is survived by four children, Sharon Hazzard, of Sandusky, William (Ellen) Strickler of Sandusky, Virgil (Bea)Strickler of Sandusky and Michael (Cheryl) Strickler, of Sandusky; daughter-in-law, Karen Strickler of South Carolina; one sister, Helen Shinn of Sandusky; 14 grandchildren; 21 great- grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Strickler, and infant son, Roger Strickler; one grandson, Donald J. Strickler; son-in-law, Dale Hazzard; four sisters, Lola Sandage, Marion Stone, Doris Plummer, and Dorothy Conely; and six brothers, Charles, Donald, Vaughn, Kent, Hubert, and Robert Stone.
Visitation was held Tuesday, April 7, from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., and Wednesday, April 8, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the Hacker Funeral Parlors, Sandusky.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., at the Hacker Funeral Parlors, Sandusky. Pastor Paul Castle officiated.
Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Sandusky.
Memorials may be made to the Countryside Free Methodist Church, Sandusky; or the Sanilac Medical Care Facility.
