Comments on returning players: We have a great group of returning athletes. I am excited to see the difference a year of maturity will make with this group of kids. They are working hard and I am looking forward to our season. From my senior captain Stephen Barker to the sophomore class, I believe all of my returning kids will contribute.
Lost to graduation: Johnathon Ridley, Andrew Sanford, Austin Spaetzel, Jacob Vermeesch
New athletes to the team: (please include grade): Brendan Handley, 12th; Cole Hewitt, 12th; Anthony Ruvolo 10th; Brady Fagan-Cedzynski, 10th; Aaron Wilcox, 9th; Brett Dumaw, 9th; Chase Simkiss, 9th; Traiten Colesa, 9th; Trevor Osborne, 9th; Tyler Park, 9th; Riley Regentin, 9th; Derek Snyder, 9th
Comments about your team’s strengths/weaknesses and any goals for the season: We are a young team with just one returning senior. We should be competitive in the middle distance and distance following a successful CC season. We have a couple of new kids working on the throws and field events that are getting things figured out. We have a great group of kids who like to push each other. I also have a hand full of our football kids who came out for the first time who are going to help us with some points. I feel like we have a great team chemistry again this year.
Outlook for your league – Where do you see you team fitting in? In the NCTL, Kingston and Mayville have been strong over the past few seasons. In the region, Ubly has been the team to beat and I think this will be between these three at the local level.
