Lady Raiders Best Chiefs

The Marlette Lady Red Raiders traveled to Capac last Thursday night to take on the Chiefs for a match with GTC implications. Marlette started out hot in the first but really tightened their vice grip on Capac in the second quarter, shutting out Capac entirely. Marlette held a 28-7 lead at halftime. The Red Raiders pumped the brakes in the second half, scoring just three points to Capac’s seven in the third quarter. Marlette rallied for 16 points in the final quarter to put the game well out of reach for the Lady Chiefs: 47-21.
Olivia Findlay led the way for the Red Raiders in the landslide, with 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals. Gabby Martinez notched 10 points and an impressive 15 rebounds in the win. Hollie Hartwell added 6 points, 4 rebounds and an assist in the win. Dalaney Gage notched 5 points, 2 assists, 4 steals and 2 rebounds. Ciatilyn Keys added 5 points, 4 assists, 7 rebounds and 7 steals. Lily Lemanski had 4 points, 3 rebounds and 4 steals for the game. Josie Hinojosa added 2 points and 2 assists. Adi Ruggles rounded out the score sheet with 1 point, 2 rebounds and a steal.
