Division 4 Team Finals Results: Coach John Guttowsky said, “We played a junior, three sophomores and a freshman. Other then Christian, this was the first time our other players had been involved in this type of tournament situation. But having been paired with the two top teams on day one, we gained a lot of experience as to what is needed to compete with teams like them. I have been honored to coach many outstanding teams in my career at Sandusky, but these young men have worked as hard at their game as any I have coached. I had sometimes literally kick them off the course for a day, or two, to take break. My assistant Brandon Weiler and I have enjoyed the experience of working with them. We had the most successful season in our school’s history, going undefeated in dual and jamboree play at 19-0. We won three invitational tournaments, won our 8th GTC East Championship in 10 years and our first Regional Tournament title. Now that we have had the experience of this season, the future will be what we choose it to be. We are going to look to toughen our schedule next year. And will these young men become satisfied with this season, or will they stay hungry want more and keep working on their games?”
