Jean W. Foster

SANDUSKY – Jean W. Foster, 81, of Sandusky, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Marlette Hospice Residence in Marlette, Michigan.
She was born September 4, 1933 in Capac, Michigan, the daughter of the late Donald and Mary (Devereux) Dobbyn.
She was a 1950 graduate of Capac High School.
Jean married Robert L. Foster on September 2, 1950 in Capac.
They lived in Sandusky from 1963 – 1983, then moved to West Branch area and returned here in 2000. Jean was a past member of the Evangelical Church, Capac and Sandusky Presbyterian Church. She loved to bowl and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob); Lynne Foster (daughter) of Flint; Richard and Donna Foster (son) of Sandusky; Karen Foster (daughter-in-law) of Sandusky; six grandchildren, Anita and Jason Gravelle, Mickey and Crystal Strickler, Megan, Kristin and Anthony Foster, and Katharine Foster; and two great-grandchildren, Carissa and Avery Strickler.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Foster on February 17, 2005; and a brother, Donald W. Dobbyn.
Cremation has taken place at the May Memorial Crematory, Port Huron.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., at the Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky.
Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral prior to service from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m..
