William Lawrence Cilk II

MARLETTE – William Lawrence Cilk II,  66, of Marlette, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 at U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.   

He was born February 27, 1949 in Marlette, Michigan, the son of the late William Cilk and Lorna (Redman) Cilk – Friedenstab.

He was a lifelong area resident, a 1967 graduate of Marlette High School, and he attended Eastern Michigan University.

William married Shirley McCready on December 28, 1974 at the Marlette Bethel Church.

He was a self employed concrete contractor. William attended the Gateway Assembly Church in Imlay City.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; Nikki and Moussa Seye (daughter) of Chelsea; William III and Sarah Cilk (son) of Imlay City; four grandchildren, Diarra and Ahamadou Seye, William IV and Emma Cilk; Robert Cilk (brother) of Brown City and Richard and Mona Cilk (brother) of Cass City.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorial services will be held Friday, June 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., at Gateway Assembly Church, 2796 S. Van Dyke, Imlay City, MI.

Rev. Donald Broughton and Pastor Jeff Krist will be officiating.

Visitation will be held at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., and on Friday at Gateway Asembly Church, Imlay City from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Memorial suggestions to the Gateway Assembly Church, or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust.
