Fall might not officially start until late September, but Fall Sports are already well under way. Practices began at start of this month and several teams already have scrimmages and matches under their belt. Sandusky and Deckerville are hosting home football openers on Friday, while CPS and Marlette will hit the road this week. CPS is headed to Dryden on Friday and Marlette travels to Caro on Thursday. Deckerville’s Cross Country Girls and Boys teams took sixth and fifth place respectively at their first event at USA this past Monday. Marlette, CPS, and Sandusky Cross Country are all headed to Brown City next Tuesday for the BC Invite. The Sandusky Girl’s Golf team had their first meet in Bad Axe on Monday and host their first home meet Thursday. The Sandusky Tennis team had their first meet on Tuesday at Port Huron Northern and are set to host four teams for the Sandusky Invitational on Friday morning. Most area Volleyball teams will have to exercise some patience as their matches don’t kick off until September, with Marlette being the exception as they look to host their home quad meet on August 29th.
